For over a century Oamaru’s Public Gardens have entertained and inspired visitors and local people alike. These well tended gardens are set out in a series of Victorian inspired “rooms” linked by a series of user friendly walkways. MORE



Our two hour tour takes you to see enormous trucks and excavators in action. Visit heritage mining sites including a complete battery stamper. View the gigantic Fraser’s open cast pit and the CAT maintenance base. We also visit the Otago Fish and Game hatchery and see the rainbow trout breeding ponds followed by a stop at the gold processing plant. Visit the historic village of Macraes and see the churches,stables and agricultural machinery of a bygone era.The tour is an exciting mix of the old and the new all set in the amazing landscape of East Otago. Waitaki Aquatic Centre

The Waitaki Aquatic Centre was opened January 1 2000 at one minute past midnight, making it the first Aquatic Centre nationwide to open in the new millenium. It is a fun, entertaining facility that caters for everyone!
The Style and Stroke Swim School has grown remarkably over the last few years from over 200 children per term to over 800 per term. We provide for children from four months through to teenagers.
The Waitaki Aquatic Centre is a “Poolsafe Pool” which means we are a safe and well managed facility. MORE



Come out and enjoy some of the scenic out of the way areas overlooking the Waitaki Valley.
We are a small trekking business operating at Otiake , 5 minutes from Kurow in North Otago.
We cater for one – three riders offering individualized treks to suit your ability from learners to experienced. Ride times vary from one, two, three and four hours thru to all day (six hours plus) with lunch provided. Some previous experience is required for the longer rides over two hours.
All rides are weather dependent. Safety gear provided but wear good footwear, long trousers and bring a warm jacket.
